The new beauty revolution; going zero waste.

by Sinem Tuncer

The new beauty revolution; going zero waste. Is going zero waste just a fad or here to stay? Climate change is a hot topic (pun intended) these days and we, as inhabitants of planet earth, are experiencing the effects of this current crisis. The conversation on reducing waste and becoming more ecological is heating up faster than the planet. While it seems that governments, companies and environmental organisations are all pointing fingers at each other, the average consumers like you and me are actually spearheading this movement. But the question remains; is going zero waste a fad or movement that’s here to stay?

Why going zero waste is the new beauty revolution. The beauty industry, like any other industry, is very taxing on our environment and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. While changes are being made, I can’t help but think; it might be too little and too slow. Understandably, doing a full 180 can’t be done overnight and consumers wouldn’t like to see their favourite products disappear or become too expensive to buy. And this is what makes going zero waste extremely difficult across the aisle. Yet, the demand from consumers to become more environmentally friendly is increasing rapidly and forcing the beauty industry to revolutionize how they do business.

How Arkive helps the beauty industry go zero waste. We have said it once and we will say it again; be the change you want to see in the world. We have made it our mission to help facilitate the beauty industry in revolutionizing the way products are being sold and stop the senseless waste like destroying perfectly good products due to excess stock. The products on our platform may not always be the cheapest, but they are granted a second life and saved from adding to excess waste. Our brand partners choose our platform because we are committed to changing — in the now. Buying at Arkive means doing good and feeling even better directly! Join the revolution and buy our products here.

With love,
